The Gophers baseball team knew several weeks ago that it would be playing some home series in Target Field, but now the team, along with the Twins have released the official schedule.
In a joint release Thursday, the teams officially announced the 12-game schedule for the spring.
Minnesota will begin Big Ten play on Friday, April 1 at 1:05 p.m. with a doubleheader against Purdue. The Gophers will finish the series on Saturday, April 2 at 1:05 p.m. Minnesota will play a conventional three-game series against Northwestern on Friday, April 15 at 3:05 p.m., Saturday, April 16 at 3:05 p.m. and Sunday, April 17 at 1:05 p.m.
The Gophers will also host Iowa in a rematch of the 2010 Big Ten Tournament Championship game on Friday, April 29 at 3:05 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at 1:05 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 at 1:05 p.m. Minnesota’s final conference series will be against Ohio State. That series will begin with a doubleheader on Thursday, May 19 at 3:05 p.m. and a single-game on Friday, May 20 at 3:05 p.m. When Minnesota faces Purdue and Ohio State, there will be an extra day available (Sunday, April 3 against Purdue and Saturday, May 21 against Ohio State) in case of any postponements due to weather.
For the doubleheader dates on April 1 and May 19, fans will not be allowed back into Target Field if they exit at any time during game or between games one and two.
All tickets are general admission and will cost $10 for adults and $5 for kids 14 and younger. University of Minnesota students will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
