Minnesota sophomore Wally Ellenson made news in late Februrary when he announced his decision to leave the Gophers basketbball program to pursue a full-time collegiate career in track.
Now, it appears Ellenson intends to transfer schools to try his luck on the hardwood again. He played in nine games last season with the Gophers, logging just 62 minutes all year.
Ellenson is fresh off a win in the high jump at the Sun Angel Track Classic over the weekend. He cleared a height of 2.20 meters to tie for the event title.
