Minnesota diver Dan Croaston took a step towards his dream — competing in the U.S. Olympic trials — with a fourth-place finish at the U.S. Zone Diving Qualifying meet Saturday.
Croaston finished fourth in the competition on the 3-meter board and will move on to the U.S. National Diving meet, held at the Aquatic Center April 18-23.
But he still has a long way to reach his goal. The top 12 divers in the nation move on from the national meet to the U.S. Olympic Trials this summer. But Croaston says he’s confident on the 3-meter board and hopes to be in contention at the national meet.
