The remains of another stillborn are believed to be in the basket of linens sent from Regions Hospital, the Star Tribune reported Friday.
The basket was sent from the hospital in St. Paul to a laundry cleaning service in Red Wing, Minn. Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the hospital discovered a stillborn at 22 weeks gestational age had been found by laundry cleaning service.
The hospital announced Friday the remains of another stillborn at 19 weeks gestational age, according to the Associated Press.
Hospital CEO Brock Nelson apologized for what he called a "terrible mistake."
