Day one of the Minnesota Gold Classic ended with a 4-1 victory for the Gophers over Nevada.
Goal scorers for Minnesota included senior Dana Tripp, junior Angie Olson, freshman Marissa Price and senior Sara Clancy. Clancy scored the game winner, her first goal of the season.
A penalty kick in the second half gave the Wolf Pack its lone goal of the game.
Minnesota will play Montana Sunday at 12:30 p.m. to finish out its non-conference season.
