After years of stealing items ranging from luggage and computers to a Stradivarius viola, a 34-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested on Sunday, the Star Tribune reported.
According to reports from KARE news, a string of surveillance videos led police to a north Minneapolis home where they discovered the stolen property.
The loot was taken from hotels downtown including the Hyatt Regency, Radisson and Millennium hotels, Sgt. Richard Jackson, the lead investigator of the case, told the Star Tribune.
Calvin Maurice Rogers was charged on Monday for stealing hundreds of items over the past 10 years, CBS Minnesota wrote.
As a result of Rogers targeting people from out of town, officers working to find the owners of the stolen goods face a challenge, KARE reported.
The Minneapolis Downtown Council told the Star Tribune it received word of the arrest on the day after an anti-crime initiative announcement came from downtown business leaders and police.
