University of Minnesota Vice President and Chief Information Officer Scott Studham resigned Friday.
Studham started in his former position in February 2012, and oversaw the IT department for the entire University of Minnesota system.
In an email to the Star Tribune, Studham said, “The U is a great place and I learned a lot, but my passion is elswehere.”
KSTP and the Star Tribune reported that Studham’s exit is unrelated to former Athletic Director Norwood Teague’s resignation and the ongoing investigations in the athletics department. That investigation now includes complaints against Senior Associate Athletics Director Mike Ellis, who has taken a leave of absence.
Bernard Gulachek, associate vice president for information technology, will serve as the interim VPCIO, according to the Star Tribune.
