Gophers softball third baseman Kaitlyn Richardson was named Co-Freshman of the Week by the Big Ten on Monday after going 6-for-12 with two home runs, six RBIs and seven runs scored in three games against Nebraska this past weekend.
The Phoenix, Ariz., native is leading the Big Ten with a .433 batting average. She is fourth in the conference in runs scored, third in RBIs, and second in home runs with nine.
This is the third time this season she has been given this honor.
