Junior college recruits Julian Welch and Andre Ingram had been inching increasingly closer to committing to Minnesota, today they have officially signed on.

Gopher men’s basketball beat writer for the Star Tribune, Myron Medcalf confirmed on his Twitter account: “Gophers have received letters of intent from both Julian Welch and Andre Ingram.”

Welch and Ingram have two years of eligibility remaining and fill vacant scholarships left by Devoe Joseph and Colten Iverson, both of whom left the program this year.
