Weezer. Weezer’s live shows have always been the best vehicle for showcasing the band’s love for straddling the razor-thin line between ironic rock posturing and pure rock bliss. Thankfully Rivers Cuomo and Co.’s latest effort, Maladroit, clears up the confusion and stakes their claim for arena-rock supremacy. Complete with mountain-sized riffs, squealing, indulgent guitar solos, and of course Cuomo’s talent of writing the perfect three-minute pop song, Weezer’s music has finally caught up with their big-rock aspirations.
