After six weeks atop the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls, the Gophers men’s hockey team now sits at No. 2.

Quinnipiac jumped Minnesota in both polls, receiving 41 of the 50 first-place votes in the USCHO poll and 28 of 34 in the USA Today poll.

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association had seven teams in the 20-team USCHO poll.

Minnesota is joined by No. 7 North Dakota, No. 8 St. Cloud State, No. 9 Minnesota State-Mankato, No. 11 Denver, No. 16 Nebraska-Omaha and No. 18 Wisconsin.

Those same teams, with the exceptions of Omaha and Wisconsin, are also in the 15-team USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
