Former Gophers defensive tackle Jordan Hinojosa has transferred to North Dakota, the University announced Thursday.
Before Hinojosa spent one year at Minnesota, the Miami, Fla., native played a season for Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.
"Jordan will bring a hard-work ethic along with explosive play to our defensive line," North Dakota head coach Bubba Schweigert said in a release. "He played against some of the top high school teams in the country down in Miami, then signed with a Big Ten school, so that shows you his ability and potential."
Hinojosa participated in Minnesota's spring practices, but didn't spend much time with the first team defense. With standout defensive lineman Ra'Shede Hageman headed to the NFL, the defensive line will be led by redshirt junior Theiren Cockran and redshirt senior Cameron Botticelli next season.
