I believe that pornography should be treated like alcohol. Dependency on such vices can clearly be detrimental, but defending a ban on pornography, as Bronwyn Miller did in her March 11 column, is misguided and naive.
I know secondhand at least a few individuals in long and happy relationships who have found the effects of pornography on their lives to be quite the opposite of “miserable.”
I absolutely agree that society could benefit from a more open conversation on the subject, but then again that’s true of a lot of things. Unhealthy relationships cause unhealthy relationships, not pornography.
