Gophers quarterback Adam Weber may have broken his nose late in Minnesota’s win over Purdue Saturday. Coach Brewster said, “He may have a broken nose right now. I think late in the game he may have broken his nose. I have admiration for him and his toughness and courage.” Weber’s nose was clearly bruised after the game, and though he didn’t say if he broke it or not, he said it was injured on the team’s final scoring midway through the fourth quarter. It wasn’t on his 39-yard run, though, he said. “When you go between the tackles, there are some big boys in there and when they get their chance on their quarterback, they like to give him their best shot. They took me down to the ground and my helmet came down on my face.” Here’s a photo from Daily photographer Matt Mead after the injury
