Minneapolis – The Big Ten honored freshman middle blocker Hannah Tapp with not one, but two weekly awards. Tapp won the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award and the Big Ten Freshman of the Week award for her performances against No. 13 Wisconsin and No. 18 Illinois.
Over those two games, Tapp averaged 2.3 blocks per set and led the Big Ten in blocks with 16. Also impressive on the offensive side, Tapp boasted 10 combined kills and a 0.625 hitting percentage against the Badgers and the Illini.
