The Love and Peace Campaign is an Israeli initiative asking people to show love and appreciation for Iran by posting pictures promoting peace between the rival nations. Ronny Edry and his wife Michal Tamir launched the page last week and have since received positive replies from Iranians who have expressed their adoration for Israel.
Most Iranians posted their messages with their profile pictures partially veiled likely out of fear from their country’s authorities.
On Sunday, Israel announced its agreement with a United States assessment that Iran hasn’t actually decided to build a nuclear weapon.
Protests erupted in Tehran last month marking the arrest of opposition leaders from last year’s Iranian demonstrations of solidarity with the Arab Spring.
