In response to the editorial “U’s nepotism violates trust,” the Nursing College Board supports our dean, Connie W. Delaney. Delaney works tirelessly to improve the quality of the school and keeps students at the center of her work. Delaney commits time each semester to meet with the Nursing College Board to discuss what is happening in the school. She also discusses student perspectives and ways she can be more supportive.
We believe this will be a time for the School of Nursing to reflect on its performance and continue to improve its quality and standings among other nursing schools in the nation.
The dean has been instrumental in recruiting renowned faculty and researchers. The nursing school was recently given its largest donation in its history to support the renovation of the nursing skills lab and transform it into a state-of-the-art training facility for future nurses such as us.
As student leaders on the Nursing College Board, we support our dean as she continues to lead the school to be one of the best nursing schools in the nation.
