Gopher football takes on New Mexico State at 7 p.m. tonight, the programs' second meeting in three seasons. As Minnesota kicks off its second game of 2013 on the road, there are several storylines to follow:

-Going up against an up-tempo offense for the second-straight week, can the Gophers defense stop short-yardage plays that wear down a defense?

–How strong will Derrick Wells be in his first game of 2013 after not playing against UNLV with hamstring and shoulder injuries?
