The Soundset hip hop festival in Shakopee, Minn. looms large this Sunday, and unlike previous years, it’s supposed to hit 80 degrees and be partly sunny. The concert staple has grown in size over its seven years, with this weekend’s festival declared sold out at 30,000.
While Nas, Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz are some great headlining names bolstered by a roster of locals and Rhymesayers artists , the ultimate news out of the Soundset camp is disappointing.
Pusha T will not be making it.
That stinks. Last year it was Busta, this year it’s Pusha. The update says a “scheduling conflict” caused the change. The silver lining is that some of the performers have been asked to do longer sets.
