Thieves stole two cars Sunday morning: one at 1218 Como Avenue SE and the other at 2630 University Avenue SE. About the same time, police took back a Richfield womanâÄôs stolen car. University police Lt. Troy Buhta said more cars are stolen when the temperature drops because people like to leave their cars running. Minneapolis passed a law forbidding cars be left running while parked for longer than three minutes. Buhta said he thinks this is both for environmental and safety reasons.
