A University of Minnesota student was robbed at gunpoint outside Hanson Hall on West Bank Monday morning, according to a timely warning email sent by University of Minnesota police.
UMPD had arrested suspects in relation to the crime and recovered the victim’s belongings by 4:56 p.m, according to an updated timely warning email.
The suspect threatened the victim with a semi-automatic handgun, stealing her purse and cell phone around 9:35 a.m., the first email says. After the robbery, the suspect left in the area in a grey Volkswagen Jetta.
This is the first timely warning of the spring semester and the first timely warning email sent since Oct. 31.
