Two people were robbed and assaulted near the University of Minnesota campus Saturday night, one of whom was a University student.

The victims were walking down Washington Avenue near Ontario Street Southeast around 11 p.m., when two suspects assaulted a male victim and one assaulted a female victim, according to a campus crime alert.

The suspects took the victims’ backpack and cellphone before fleeing down Ontario Street. Neither victim was seriously injured.
