FARGO, N.D. (AP) âĂ„Ă® People in Fargo will resume sandbagging to prepare for a second crest of the Red River in the next 10 days. City officials say they’ll start making sandbags Wednesday morning at the Fargodome parking lot, and they’re looking for volunteers. They’re pushing to make about 1 million sandbags to build up their dike system. The National Weather Service is predicting a Red River crest at Fargo between 38 and 40 feet. That’s due sometime between April 16 and 18. The Red gave Fargo and neighboring Moorhead, Minn., a major scare last month before cresting just shy of 41 feet. The two cities largely escaped damage after a massive sandbagging effort that raised its dike protection to 43 feet.
