New Gophers women’s basketball coach Cheryl Littlejohn hired her first assistant coach, Tori Harrison, the Daily learned Monday.
Harrison, formerly the head coach at Coppin State in Maryland, was an assistant under Clemson’s Jim Davis, who was under consideration for the Minnesota job.
TrÇka McMillian, Crystal Flint and Cara Pearson — all assistants under departed coach Linda Hill-MacDonald — have been released.
Littlejohn is still in the process of moving from her home in Alabama. She will likely fill out her staff within the next two weeks, when she takes over the team full time.
