NICEVILLE, Fla. (AP) âÄî Northwest Florida State College trustees have voted to return $310,000 funneled to the school by indicted House Speaker Ray Sansom, but with a caveat. The trustees said Tuesday they want a chance to negotiate with Gov. Charlie Crist to keep the funding despite their vote. The trustees agreed to scrap a $5.6 million project to build an airplane hanger for a political supporter of Sansom. But they said returning the $310,000 they’ve already spent on the project would hurt students and faculty. Earlier Tuesday, trustees ousted college president Bob Richburg for his alleged involvement in the scheme.
