Roxana Saberi has been in prison in Iran for almost two months. The government says she was doing reporting work after her press credentials expired. The House’s delayed bills committee approved introduction of a resolution that supports efforts by Congress to gain Saberi’s release. The resolution will be voted on later in the North Dakota Senate and House. Saberi is a freelance reporter who has done work for National Public Radio and the British Broadcasting Corp. She is a former Miss North Dakota, and once worked at Fargo’s KVLY-TV.
