A robbery occurred near the East Bank campus Tuesday morning, according to a campus-wide alert sent out Thursday.
The incident took place at 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Delaware Street Southeast and Huron Boulevard in the Prospect Park neighborhood near campus. The incident marks the second SAFE-U alert in two days, following an attempted robbery and assault that occurred Wednesday near 15th Avenue Southeast in the Como neighborhood.
The suspect, wearing a dark sweatshirt and dark pants, fled the scene in a dark blue vehicle, according to the SAFE-U alert. The suspect is described by the alert as being between 5-feet-7-inches and 5-feet-9-inches tall and 170 to 190 pounds.
The incident brings the total number of alerts this semester to 14 after the University’s Departments of Public Safety and Emergency Management updated the notification system earlier this year.
