The Minnesota womens basketball team trails Penn State at haltime 34-28 in Happy Valley.

One bright spot for the Gophers thus far is the play of senior guard Emily Fox, who has been fighting through a shooting slump in Big Ten play but is 5-of-5 from the field so far with 11 points.

Fox has scored with an array of jump-shots and layups, and for the moment looks like the player who won All-Big Ten honors last season.

Minnesota has struggled in rebounding to start the game, giving the Nittany Lions multiple chances on the offensive end.

The Gophers will need to pick up their rebounding and get another scoring option other than Fox to come out with the road win at Penn State.
