University police apprehended two suspects at gunpoint after the suspects allegedly stabbed an unidentified victim in front of Moos Tower at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The suspects were placed in custody at the University police station, in the Transportation and Safety Building on Washington Avenue.
Emergency dispatch supervisor Chuck Steier said the victim was taken to the downtown Hennepin County Medical Center with wounds police said were unlikely to be deadly.
“It was serious enough to ask for an ambulance right away, but I don’t think it was fatal,” Steier said.
Authorities were alerted to the incident after someone at the scene flagged down a passing University police sergeant, Steier said.
