The University of Minnesota's football facilities rank ninth in the Big Ten, according to a list made by ESPN.com blogger Adam Rittenberg.
Building TCF Bank Stadium was a big success, but its everyday facilities lag behind the rest of the Big Ten, Rittenberg said. "The Hump Dome era is mercifully over, and Minnesota hit a home run in every way with TCF Bank Stadium," Rittenberg said.
Athlon Sports said the Gophers will always struggle to compete in the Big Ten, but the new stadium makes their football coaching job more attractive.
Ohio State ranked first in Rittenberg's rankings, as he said, "the Buckeyes have the total package, from a massive, iconic stadium to a stand-alone, football-only facility that includes offices, meeting rooms, a weight room and memorabilia displays."
Nebraska and Michigan's facilities had recent upgrades, and they were second and third in the rankings, respectively.
