MarQueis Gray will be eligible to enroll at the University after passing his ACT test, GopherIllustrated.com reported Wednesday morning. Gray, a four-star quarterback from Indianapolis, participated in fall practice with the Gophers, but was ruled ineligible September 2 after the ACT flagged his test scores. After the Gophers announced the news, Gray released a statement saying, âÄúIâÄôm confident that I can clear up my situation this fall and IâÄôm excited to rejoin my teammates at Minnesota.âÄù Rated 2007âÄôs third-best dual-threat quarterback in the country by Rivals.com, Gray will likely compete with current-freshman David Pittman for the back-up job to Adam Weber next season.
