I was surprised to read your campus poster for jobs with The Minnesota Daily in which you describe your newspaper as “the best college newsroom in the country.” Not one of the best, but the best. According to whom? When I think of the Daily, the first thing that comes to mind is your lack of integrity when it comes to advertising dollars. You accept ads for all kinds of pornographic fare. In fact, your rude online ad for The Minnesota Daily t-shirt that says, “I get it Daily” certainly is junior high school “humor” at its best. Also, your ad claims there are opportunities for everyone. All newspapers have biases, and The Minnesota Daily does not reserve much opportunity for opinions that are conservative, pro-life, pro-business, pro-military, etc. So the next time you pat yourself on the back for being “the best college newspaper,” talk to a few people with a different opinion.
