Cutting administrator pay by 2.3 percent, twice the 1.15 percent cut for other University of Minnesota staffers, sounds generous, until you remember that most administrators make much more than twice as much as the lowest-paid staffers. Some of them make more than 20 times as much. Those who earn many times as much as others should take pay cuts many times greater than others, and the lowest paid should not be taking pay cuts at all. Ruth Berman University staff
