Due to weather restrictions, the Gophers rowing team has cancelled its upcoming dual against Iowa.
Minnesota was set to travel to Iowa City to compete against the Hawkeyes, but cold and wind has forced the teams to remain idle this weekend. The meet will not be rescheduled.
Gophers coach Wendy Davis said Wednesday that the meet would be on as scheduled, but the forecast in Iowa City has snow in store with a high of 37 degrees and low of 22. She said the team’s would likely scrimmage if the rowing course wasn’t ready, but Minnesota will not compete until April 9 against Michigan and Michigan State in East Lansing.
