For whatever reason, I put my name on the sign-in sheet on the first day of Gophers spring football practice. Coach Jerry Kill said he would be sending a signed letter to everyone on the list, and I received the note in the mail today. Based on what Kill said, I assume it’s the same letter every fan, high school and others at spring ball will receive.
The card is maroon on the front with a block M and the word “football” underneath. The back is gold with text. Without further ado:
“Dear [name],
I wanted to personally thank you for taking time out of your schedule to watch us practice. I know that the players and staff appreciate your support. This first spring is a fun and exciting time for all of us as we work towards building a football program that every Gopher fan can be proud of. Building a successful program is a process and in order to reach our goals as a football program we will need your support. Your presence at practice helps create an energetic atmosphere that our players and coaches use as fuel to compete at a high level. Again, thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you at practice again.
Sincerely,
[Signature of Coach Kill]
