U2âÄôs June 27 concert at TCF Bank Stadium has been postponed until 2011 so lead singer Bono can recover from back surgery undergone on Friday. The groupâÄôs entire 2010 North American 360° tour, which was scheduled to begin June 3, was canceled. A Ticketmaster e-mail sent to the concert’s ticket holders assured them that their purchases would still be good for the new date, which is yet to be determined. The more than 50,000 tickets available sold out in about two hours in November. 10,000 of those tickets were reserved for University of Minnesota students and Gophers season ticket holders. “Our biggest and I believe best tour has been interrupted and we’re all devastated,” U2 band manager Paul McGuinness said in a statement. “[BonoâÄôs] concerns about more than a million ticket buyers, whose plans have been turned upside down, we all share.” University officials have not immediately returned calls for comment.
