According to a new âÄú100% objectiveâÄù ranking system from StateUniversity.com, the University of Minnesota ranks 193 among the top 2,000 schools in the country. The ranking is based solely on statistical reports from the universities, preventing subjective rankings, according to the website. The University ranked third among Minnesota schools with Macalester College at 79 and St. Olaf College coming in at 97. StateUniversity.com used âÄúvery reliable government sourcesâÄù to compile their rankings, with the most important factors being ACT and SAT scores, student retention, faculty salary and student to faculty ratio. The University ranks tenth in the Big Ten, ahead of only the University of Iowa, ranked 211. Stanford University topped the list.
