Mary McEvoy will be deeply missed by many around campus. I first met Mary when I was a freshman and starting to get involved in the University of Minnesota DFL where she served as our faculty advisor.

She stood out as a person who was always there, tryingto make sure students had a place in the DFL. As if losing Paul Wellstone wasn’t enough of a tragedy, I and so many others who knew Mary lost a good friend whom we considered able to carry Paul’s torch.
