In response to Steve Snyders’ column about the apathetic university (“It’s time to challenge an apathetic University,” Oct. 11), I would have to say that I completely disagree. Admittedly, I only transferred here this semester, but based on my experiences so far I have not seen any examples of what he talks about in his column. The professors and teaching assistants I’ve had to deal with have been bend-over-backwards helpful. I’ve had to go to Student Services four times so far and the longest I ever had to wait was about 15 minutes. And as for those fees and tuition hikes, compared to other schools in the nation this University does an excellent job in keeping the cost affordable.
