Theater Gallery has returned its successful “The Sunrise Café” to the stage after its initial run last spring. The show includes Joshua Scrimshaw – known for his adeptness in physical comedy – his monthly “Look Ma, No Pants!” comedy show, with his brother Joseph, is a perennial favorite – energetically throws his back into this production. He plays an evil chef involved in a bizarre love triangle with a contemplative truck driver (Paul Herwig) and a desperate waitress (Jennifer Ilse). Set in the desert of the American West and haunted by country ballads played on an old-fashioned synthesizer, even the most familiar scenarios seem incredibly peculiar. (Danielson)
