A robbery occurred in Marcy-Holmes Friday afternoon, according to an all-campus alert.
The incident took place near 14th Avenue Southeast and Eighth Street Southeast at 3 p.m. Two male suspects – one described as wearing acid-washed jeans and a blue-and-white sweater, and the other described as wearing a grey hoodie pulled around his face – fled the scene in a white car. No other details about what occurred have been shared.
This SAFE-U safety alert is the second this week and third this month. On Tuesday at 1:30 a.m., a sexual assault was reported near 7th Street Southeast and 12th Avenue Southeast, also in Marcy-Holmes. The alert listed two suspects. On Nov. 9, a robbery by four to five suspects was reported in Dinkytown.
Earlier this week, the Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association hosted its first safety committee meeting in response to a series of violent crimes in the past few months.
