Jennifer Joan May still remains in jail, after attempts by her lawyer to reduce her $100,000 bail Tuesday.
Hennepin County Judge Philip Bush rejected a plea by attorney George O. Ludcke to lower May’s bail amount.
However, the judge agreed to release May to the Hennepin County Medical Center psychiatric ward if May posts a $25,000 bail or a $2,500 court bond.
May, who is charged with firing a handgun into the ceiling of University President Nils Hasselmo’s office June 11, has been in jail since police arrested her June 15.
