While many Minnesotans had their eyes glued to their television sets to watch the Wild start their playoff series with the St. Louis Blues, former Minnesota Gophers center Amanda Zahui B. was drafted second overall to the Tulsa Shock in the WNBA draft.
Zahui B. absolutely shot up draft boards after a breakout season, earning multiple accolades including being named a first team All-American. She was also a Naismith trophy finalist. Zahui B. and Jewell Loyd both left their respective colleges early, but their decisions were justified as they went first and second in the draft.
