Headliner Megan Thee Stallion has canceled her performance at the 2019 University of Minnesota homecoming concert, according to a Student Unions and Activities email sent out Thursday morning.
The rapper was scheduled to perform at the annual concert at TCF Bank Stadium on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m., along with supporting artist singer-songwriter Phoebe Ryan. Student Unions and Activities will provide refunds to those who have already purchased tickets, according to the email.
A free concert featuring Ryan and rapper Saba will be held in its place at Coffman Union Front Plaza, after the 6:30 p.m. parade down University Avenue Southeast.
“While we are disappointed in Megan Thee Stallion’s cancellation, we hope you will still attend other events during Homecoming week,” the email read.
