Junior Jessica Granquist played an instrumental part in the Gophers’ back-to-back victories this weekend, helping the Gophers improve to 10-6 and earning them tournament eligibility. She was honored for her performance by the Big Ten conference today, earning her third Defensive Player of the Week after notching 22 digs in both matches.
In her first-year as starting libero, Granquist also picked up the honor on Sept. 6 and Oct. 4. The accolade is the ninth for the Gophers this season–sophomore Tabitha Love and senior Lauren Gibbemeyer both received Player of the Week while freshman Ashley Wittman has picked up four awards this season.
