Minnesota beat Wisconsin 81-68 on Jan. 22 at Williams Arena. The Gophers did so with a simple formula: limiting turnovers and a steady dose of DeAndre Mathieu and Mo Walker.
They haven't done any of those things through 20 minutes tonight, and they trail 35-28 because of it.
Walker scored 14 of his 18 points that night before the break. He currently has zero points.
Mathieu also scored 18 points that night. Tonight he has six.
The Gophers only turned the ball over seven times in the January victory. Right now, they have nine.
This is clearly not the same game as the one just weeks ago when these two teams met. This has not been the same performance from the Gophers.
