Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini said Monday he does not know if all-Big Ten quarterback Taylor Martinez will play Saturday against Minnesota.
Martinez hasn't played since Sept. 14 because of a turf toe injury, the Lincoln Journal Star has reported. Pelini said Martinez did some field work during practice Sunday and said the team will play his status by ear as the week goes on.
Martinez, a senior, is Nebraska's all-time leader in total offense, passing yards, completions, touchdown passes and starts by a quarterback.
The Gophers play Nebraska at 11 a.m. Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium.
