The lead story in the Nov. 25 issue (“Despite media reports, no stadium deal yet”) had an inaccurate and misleading teaser for the University of Minnesota Alumni Association stadium resolution story that followed on page 3 (“Alumni board resolution supports campus stadium”).

The teaser, “University alumni support an on-campus, non-NFL stadium”, did not reflect what was said at the association’s National Board meeting Saturday or what was reported in the subsequent story.

The association’s official resolution, which was passed unanimously by the National Board states: “The University of Minnesota Alumni Association believes that it is in the best interest of the University community to bring Gopher football back on campus.” The statement does not address the proposed partnership with the Vikings nor does it discuss alternatives.
