This week, the Office of Equity and Diversity at the University of Minnesota announced finalists for two open director positions in its department — the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Ally Programs Office Programs Office and the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence.
In an email sent Wednesday, Rickey Hall, assistant vice president for equity and diversity, invited input for the three candidates for the GLBTA Programs Office director.
There will be three public forums, including a question and answer session, held in the following two weeks. Evaluation forms are available after each forum, according to the email. MCAE will also hold forums next week for its two candidates.
E. Frederic MacDonald-Douglas, the former interim director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Haverford College, will present at 2 p.m. on Dec. 1 in 335 Appleby Hall. MacDonald-Douglas is also a finalist for the director position at MCAE.
Matthew Bosch, the chief diversity officer at North Hennepin Community College, will hold his presentation at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 in 117 Appleby Hall.
Owen Marciano, transfer admissions coordinator and prospective transfer student advisor in the College of Education and Human Development at the University, will speak at 10 a.m. on Dec. 7 in 117 Appleby Hall.
