On September 24th 1896, F. Scott Fitzgerald was welcomed into this world in a picturesque, once lavish Victorian home on Laurel Ave in St. Paul—and you know what that means?
This Saturday, F. Scott’s birthday is the only one that matters.
That’s right. Fact.
The Minnesota Historical Society is obviously aware of this. They’ll be hosting an F. Scott Fitzgerald walking tour. This 75-minute guided stroll will casually roam the pleasant neighborhoods of St. Paul, stopping to observe the aforementioned birthplace and the home in which he wrote his first novel, “This Side of Paradise.” Walkers will learn about the impact of St. Paul on his writing all while in the presence of that quaint charm that the prime of autumn so naturally lends the tree-lined Victorian streets.
